We invite you to the presentation of the work of the “Pavao Ritter Vitezović” Croatian Genealogical Society, which will take place on Friday, October 2, at 12:00 PM at the State Archives in Zadar (Ul. Ruđera Boškovića, 23000, Zadar).
As part of the gathering, a lecture will be held entitled: “Grandpa, did you have a grandpa too?”
The presentation will showcase the history and activities of the Society and explain the purpose and methods of conducting genealogical research. Special emphasis will be placed on an unjustly neglected giant of our history and culture, Pavao Ritter Vitezović, whose name the Society proudly bears.
Event Program:
-
20th Anniversary Exhibition of the CGS: During and after the lecture, visitors can view an exhibition dedicated to the work of the Society. The exhibition was previously hosted at the Croatian State Archives as part of the European Heritage Days.
-
Lecture and Education: Find out how to start searching for your ancestors, which sources to use, and how to preserve family history for future generations.
-
Consultations with Genealogists: Following the lecture, Society members will be available for individual discussions. Drawing on their extensive experience, they will advise interested individuals on how and where to begin their own archival and registry office research.
